First, A Personal Note

Before You Decide To Work With Me

There are a few things you need to know about me, my style of consulting and who I work best with.

01

I'm your trusted advisor, not a typical agency

My advice is vendor and media agnostic, which means I'm NOT going to sell you additional services. You'll work directly with me, unfiltered, not an account manager or sales rep.

02

I'm very driven, direct and results-focused

If you're looking for casual growth, a slower pace or an advisor who won't push you, I'm not your gal. Please only apply if you have honest ambition to grow sales and a willingness to implement.

03

My fees are deliberately not cheap

They start at $3,000 per month for one-off consultation to $12,000 per month for CMO/CRO services. Please only apply to work with me if you can invest appropriately.

04

I am not a full-blown marketing agency

I don't offer “done-for-you” services like website design, SEO, or CRM setup. I'll help you create your plan, find the right agency, build your team and oversee implementation – but I won't do it all for you.

What’s Meaningfully Different About My Approach To MSP Marketing

If you want more MARKETING, hire an agency.

If you want more MONEY, hire me.

Most MSP marketing agencies are good at implementing pieces of a marketing plan. A new website, SEO, AEO, Google Ads, content, social media, etc. There’s nothing wrong with this, and I recommend outsourcing some or all of your marketing to a trusted firm.

The problem is, these agency services, by themselves, don’t get the sales and growth you want in your MSP.

Getting someone to click an ad, visit your website or even raise their hand as a “lead” is only the beginning, and if you don’t have the people and processes in place to turn that lead into a PROFITABLE client, you’ve just wasted your time and money and possibly made your situation worse.

Here’s What I Do That Marketing Agencies Won’t

  1. Marketing And Sales Systems Merged Into One Productive Unit

The best marketing plan in the world won’t deliver results and ROI if it’s tied to a broken, dysfunctional sales process. I uniquely know how to knit together both sales and marketing to produce the results you want, from building sales scripts and follow up sequences to actual deal and contract negotiation.

  2. Differentiation And Positioning To Overcome Fee Resistance

Most agencies aren’t going to help you develop a unique selling proposition in the way I will. My process is about positioning you as a TRUSTED advisor instead of one more IT company with a quote.

  3. Strategic List Building And Nurture Systems

I’ll help you engineer both lead follow-up and drip marketing processes so you build a hyper-responsive, highly qualified list of prospects over time, doubling to tripling the return you get on the initial marketing campaign you used to attract them in the first place.

  4. Account Management, TBR And Full Client Monetization

I’ll help you understand and improve client profitability, lifetime value and full client monetization, not just how to get new logos. Most MSPs leave hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table because they don’t know how to do this.

  5. How To Fuel An Endless Chain Of Referrals

Most agencies won’t even talk about this, because that’s not how they get paid. Referrals shouldn’t be the only way you get leads, but you’re foolish to start doing paid ads when you haven’t really extracted all the introductions and referrals possible from your current clients.

  6. Employee Coaching And Accountability

An agency isn’t going to sit with your sales manager or marketing leader to troubleshoot campaigns they aren’t implementing for you (like a trade show). They won’t help them craft a plan to hit quota or to create initiatives to reactivate lost clients, unconverted leads or coach an underperforming rep. I will, and I’ll help you hold people accountable for the outcomes.

To be clear, you SHOULD hire agencies. I’m not going to design your website, do your SEO or AEO, or run your pay-per-click. You need experts in each of those disciplines. I’m the person who leads the whole revenue system those pieces plug into.

Every one of those is another link in the chain. And if ONE critical link is broken, all the money you’re spending on marketing can go straight down the toilet.

That’s where I come in.

For more than 25 years, I’ve specialized in ONE industry: MSPs. I’ve helped 10,000+ MSPs with their marketing, sales and growth strategies.

I built Technology Marketing Toolkit into the largest sales and marketing organization serving MSPs, along with the industry’s largest peer group.

But here’s the proof I’m most proud of:

My clients produced an enormous library of documented success stories with actual, measurable results. I’m talking about MSPs documenting hundreds of thousands, even millions, of dollars in additional revenue, MRR and growth.

And unlike most marketing consultants, I’ve actually built the kind of company I’m advising you to build.

I grew my own business to nearly $40 million before exiting. I was the #1 marketing agency in the world for MSPs. And I had a very successful, lucrative exit.

That means I don’t just understand how to generate a lead: I know how to build the MACHINE that turns marketing ideas and activities into revenue and builds wealth for you and your team.

If all you want is someone to run Google Ads, redesign your website or “do some SEO,” there are plenty of perfectly good agencies that can do that for you. I can recommend a few.

But if what you actually want is an experienced CEO coach to help you generate more PROFITABLE GROWTH, that’s a very different assignment.

And that’s the business I’m in.

MSP Marketing FAQs

What are MSP marketing services?

Specialized growth solutions built for the managed services business model rather than for software companies or general IT vendors. MSPs face long sales cycles, complex offerings and buyers who are confused by technical language, so the work centers on industry-specific messaging and structured systems: campaign strategy, positioning, lead generation and sales alignment. The goal is to attract prospects who understand the value of managed services and will commit to long-term agreements, not price shoppers.

How is this different from a general digital agency?

Generic agencies optimize for clicks, impressions and short-term lead volume. Managed services require trust-based buying decisions over long cycles ending in recurring contracts. The messaging is different too – outcomes like reduced downtime, cybersecurity, compliance and cost predictability rather than tools and features. Most agency work also fails because leads arrive with no qualification framework or sales process behind them; here, campaign messaging is built to connect to sales scripts and follow-up systems.

Which marketing strategies actually work for MSPs today?

Education first – campaigns addressing cybersecurity threats, compliance and business continuity position you as the expert before any sales conversation. Direct mail paired with email follow-up still cuts through in a way pure digital does not, especially combined with landing pages and retargeting. Inbound content and SEO capture demand that already exists, while outbound creates it. And lifecycle marketing after the sale reduces churn and creates upsell – the part most providers skip entirely.

Why not just handle marketing in-house?

Most in-house efforts lack specialization. Marketing for IT companies needs an understanding of buyer psychology, industry language and managed services sales cycles that takes years to build. Owners and technicians are also focused on operations, so campaigns start and stall. The practical advantage of outside help is leverage: proven frameworks instead of experimentation, and systems that keep running without constant oversight.
